This template Privacy Policy explains how GoHippo handles information when you browse the website, create a personalized book or comic, upload photos, place an order, contact support or receive transactional emails.

As a personalized gift service, the information you provide may include details about you, the buyer, the recipient and the people or stories included in a project.

We may collect email and other contact details, order and delivery details, project details, recipient names, relationships, questionnaire answers, uploaded photos, generated previews, selected titles and covers, and support messages.

We also collect technical information such as device type, browser, approximate region or locale, pages visited, referrals, UTM campaign parameters and basic analytics events to understand where customers leave the creation flow.

We use information to create previews and books, process orders and payment, provide delivery and fulfillment, send confirmations, provide support, improve quality, prevent abuse and maintain security.

We do not need card details for support. Payment providers such as Stripe and PayPal process payments, and GoHippo should not store full card numbers.

Photos and personal details may be used to generate covers, illustrations, previews, pages, book content and order files. Only upload photos and information you have permission to use for the gift.

AI-generated output may be reviewed, regenerated, stored or processed to create and support your order.

We may use trusted providers for hosting, storage, AI generation, image processing, analytics, email delivery, payments, security and fulfillment. Examples include Stripe or PayPal for payments and SendGrid for transactional emails where configured.

These providers process information only as needed to support GoHippo’s service, security, fulfillment and customer communications.

GoHippo may use cookies, local storage, session storage and analytics events to operate the site, remember sessions, understand funnel performance and improve the customer journey.

On the US English and Spanish storefronts, our Meta Pixel measures public-page visits and the value and currency of verified paid orders unless you opt out. On every non-US storefront, Meta advertising cookies and similar technology start only after acceptance. Meta event payloads do not include recipient details or order IDs. Change your choice using Ad privacy choices in the footer.

Analytics should avoid raw personal information such as emails, phones, addresses, full free-text prompts, uploaded image contents or payment-card data.

We retain information as needed to provide the service, fulfill orders, support customers, meet legal or accounting obligations, prevent fraud, resolve disputes and maintain business records.

Local development and production storage may have different retention processes. Production retention should follow operational, legal and customer-support requirements.

Contact us about access, correction, deletion or help with your information. Requests may be limited where information is needed for fulfillment, legal records, fraud prevention or legitimate business operations.
