GoHippo is a personalized gift service. The information you provide may include details about you, the buyer, the recipient, and the people, stories, photos, or jokes you choose to include in a project.
2. Information We Collect
We may collect contact details, order details, delivery details, project details, recipient names, relationship details, questionnaire answers, uploaded photos, generated previews, selected titles, selected covers, and customer support messages.
We may also collect technical information such as device type, browser, approximate region or locale, pages visited, referral information, UTM campaign parameters, and basic analytics events used to understand and improve the creation flow.
3. How We Use Information
We use information to create personalized previews and books, process orders, take payment, provide delivery and fulfilllment, send order confirmations, provide support, improve product quality, prevent abuse, and maintain website security.
Payments are processed by payment providers such as Stripe and PayPal. GoHippo does not need your payment card details to provide support and should not store full card numbers.
4. Photos, Personal Details, and AI Generation
Photos and personal details you provide may be used to generate covers, illustrations, previews, pages, book content, and order files. You should only upload photos and personal details where you have permission to use them for the gift.
AI-generated output may be reviewed, regenerated, stored, or processed as part of creating and supporting your order.
5. Service Providers
We may use trusted providers for hosting, storage, AI generation, image processing, analytics, email delivery, payments, security, and fulfilllment. Examples may include services such as Stripe or PayPal for payments and SendGrid for transactional emails where configured.
These providers process information only as needed to support GoHippo’s service, security, fulfilllment, and customer communications.

GoHippo may use cookies, local storage, session storage, and analytics events to keep the site working, remember sessions, understand funnel performance, and improve the customer journey.
Analytics should avoid sending raw personal information such as email addresses, phone numbers, addresses, full free-text prompts, uploaded image contents, or payment card data.

We keep information for as long as needed to provide the service, fulfill orders, support customers, meet legal or accounting obligations, prevent fraud, resolve disputes, and maintain business records.
Local development and production storage may have different retention processes. Production retention should be managed according to operational, legal, and customer support requirements.
